Crazy Canuck's: Moose Polo at the Sparcks Northern Championship
Art by Mario Bucci (and an AI) · Words by the Sparcks team · · 3 min read

Somewhere north of the tree line, the inaugural Sparcks Northern Championship is under way. Norma leads the charge on a moose, mid-roar, mallet raised like she is about to close the quarter single-handed. The rest of the team are on reindeer, each wearing the expression of someone who did not read the event description before signing up.
There is a red ball. There are fans in parkas losing their minds on the sidelines. There is a family of polar bears in the back who appear to have wandered in, assessed the situation, and decided this is not their problem. Respect.
Now look at the jackets
Look closely. The team jackets say SPARCAS. The banner says SPARC-something with a starburst where a letter should be. The AI was entirely confident about all of it. It did not flag a single thing. It just handed over a beautiful, professional-looking image with our company name spelled wrong on six people.
And honestly? That's the most useful lesson Mario has given us so far. AI is fast, it's creative, and it will spell your name wrong with a perfectly straight face.
About that apostrophe
The title written in the snow is Mario's own. We've decided it belongs to the moose.
The actual lesson
AI drafts. You proofread.
Treat everything an AI gives you as a confident first draft from a very fast intern. Names, numbers, dates and anything going to a client gets checked by a human. It takes thirty seconds and it is the difference between “wow, that was quick” and “why does the proposal say SPARCAS?”
This week's challenge
Your turn - before the next episode
- Paste a long email thread into an AI and ask for a three-line summary plus every open action item, with who owns it.
- Then check it against the thread. Count how many things it got right, and catch the one it got wrong.
Post what you tried in the team chat. Best result gets featured next week. Worst result also gets featured next week.
